COUNTDOWN TO PUNK IN DRUBLIC FEST (NOFX)

NOFX is fucking cool.

Which makes it a bummer that they are ending their long career but hey, all good things must come to an end. Keeping it positive, I am super stoked to be hitting up TWO of their final shows in Toronto for their Punk in Drublic festival for TWO unique sets where they will be playing FORTY songs per day! That’s a lot of NOFX!

I expect it to be a giant party and look forward to seeing loads of friends and acquaintances thanks to affordable prices. In the age of $300 tickets for a single show,  NOFX said nope to Live Nation and the big guns and are  putting on the shows themselves which means less money out of fans pockets and more money for their retirement – a win for all!

The weekend is calling for two days filled with punk rock from big shot bands like The Interrupters and Descendents to local heroes The Flatliners. In addition to that (there’s MORE?), Punk In Drublic features a beer festival with basically every brewery in the general Toronto area I can think of and a solid dozen more.

Rock’n’Roam will be covering this fest on behalf of Absolute Underground magazine (an awesome free metal/punk/horror/skate/tattoo magazine available in print and online) for a sweet feature in their next edition which is pretty rad. An additional photo gallery with some assorted ramblings will end up on this site as well at some point once the tears dry up and the beers wear off.

Punk in Drublic Toronto edition happens Aug 17-18 at Downsview Park. Tickets are somehow still available and can be snagged HERE. Do not miss your final chance to see these punk heroes.

I can’t fucking wait to sing along to “Bob”.
